Card is #42: Running Race and depicts a horse race. This card is from the Games and Sports Series issued by Goodwin & Company. These were inserted in packages of Old Judge cigarettes. It is one of the few pre-1900 full-color sports-related tobacco sets and features sportswomen. The card measures about 1-1/2 x 2-3/4 inches and has a checklist for the entire set on the reverse.
Colors on card are good, lower corners show some wear. Back has “Nellie” lightly written in pencil and traces of adhesive across part of surface, likely from mounting in a collector’s album. See pics for condition.
